Producer Chris Young has a long and distinguished career in
the mainstream music industry. Working with both established and unknown
artists, he has developed a reputation as an excellent producer and consistent
hit maker. Young started his career in music after he graduated from the
illustrious Interlochen Arts Academy alongside Josh Groban and Jewel. He played
the trumpet and performed with Guns ‘N Roses, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and
the Red Hot Chili Peppers. After years of performing with some of the biggest
names in music at the time, Young decided to develop his musical talent another
way. He started studying music production, songwriting, and engineering.
Producer Chris Young broke through in the engineering
industry when he signed a major publishing deal with EMI, and later signed a
deal with Ultra International Music Publishing. Young produced and composed
music featured on a variety of television shows, major motion pictures, and
advertising campaigns for many Fortune 500 companies. Soon after he stopped
performing as a trumpet player, it seemed like people were drawn to Chris
Young’s producing skills and artistry.
Chris Young continued his career and worked on many
different projects with a wide range of artists. He has helped produce for
artists such as the Wu-Tang Clan, Korn, and Alicia Keys. He has also taken
previously unknown artists such as Annie Baltic, whose single, “Low Key,”
produced by Young, crept into the top 30 of Billboard’s Hot Dance/Club Play
Charts at number 27. Producer Chris Young says that he owes his long career to
the connections he made with so many talented artists who have come to his
studio.
